In response to the Ontario stay-at-home order that came into effect on April 8, 2021, Secker Ross & Perry LLP (SRP) has resumed remote working schedules for many of our accounting staff.
While our reception area is staffed, our office is closed to the public and our staff will not be attending client premises for any fieldwork. We continue to be contactable by phone, email or video conferencing through Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
For document drop off, we have a secure drop box at the main entrance to the building on Cataraqui Street which is cleared regularly. Please ensure your documents are in a sealed envelope. For electronic transfer of documents, we encourage clients to use our secure document exchange portal.
Upon completion of your tax return, you will be able to obtain your documents via courier, Canada Post or electronically using our client portal. We are not accepting in-person pick up of completed returns at this time.
Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has not granted any deadline extensions so we are working towards CRA’s normal filing deadline of April 30. Should there be any change in their position, we will advise you immediately. If you have yet to provide us with your personal income tax information, please do so by Friday, April 16 so that we are able to meet the filing deadline.
